Rising Eyes of Texas 2027

Rising Eyes of Texas is a statewide, juried exhibition hosted by Rockport Center for the Arts for undergraduate and graduate students in the visual arts. The exhibition is open to all student artists in Texas age 18 and over who are currently enrolled at a university, college, community college, or technical school in the state. Proof of enrollment with a current student ID is required.

The submission deadline is Sunday, January 24th, 2027 (11:59pm CST). Submissions are accepted online only. The entry fee is $5 for up to three artwork submissions. All media are accepted. Works must not be larger than 72 inches. Artists must state the final sale price upon submission, which cannot be changed. Accepted 2D artworks must be ready to hang with all necessary hardware and must have D-rings or wire attached prior to delivery. All works must be framed or mounted and able to withstand packaged shipment.

Accepted works must be delivered between February 5-19, 2027. The exhibition runs February 27 - March 28, 2027. A public reception and awards presentation will take place March 13, 2027. Three cash prizes are awarded: $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place. Artists receive 60% of any sales, with Rockport Center for the Arts receiving 40%. Pick-up of artwork takes place March 29 - April 5, 2027, or return shipments begin March 30, 2027 (artists are responsible for return shipping costs). For questions, contact [email protected].
