RISD Southern California Alumni Biennial 2008

The RISD Southern California Alumni Biennial 2008 is open to all RISD alumni, regardless of major or year of graduation, who live and/or work in the designated areas of the Los Angeles and San Diego Alumni Clubs. Artists may be asked to verify their eligibility.

Submissions must be made online in digital format. Each artist may submit three works of art (one image per piece). For three-dimensional works, an additional detail image may be included for a maximum of three detail images in addition to the images for individual artworks. The dimensions of accepted works should not exceed 6' x 6' x 6'. All pieces must be original and made by the artist. The entry fee is $25 (non-refundable). Work must be available for the exhibition period and delivered in accordance with the exhibition schedule. Artists must provide all equipment necessary for exhibition of their artwork and are responsible for arranging delivery and insurance of work to and from the exhibition. Accepted artists agree that RISD can use images of their work for print and electronic promotional activity.

Key dates: April 3, 2008 (deadline for entries), April 17, 2008 (submissions selected), April 24, 2008 (notification to entrants), June 15, 2008 (work due at gallery), June 19-21, 2008 (exhibition period), June 21, 2008 (RISD opening reception), June 22-23, 2008 (work returned).
