About This Call
Richmond Arts In the Park is a two-day outdoor art fair taking place May 2-3, 2026. The application deadline is February 1, 2026, with notifications sent February 24, 2026. Artists must remain present for the entire two days of the event, with setup between 8 AM and 10 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. Display equipment and tents may be set up Friday, May 1, 2026.
All work must feature original, handcrafted art created by the display artist. Artists must guarantee that the work presented is authentic and created as indicated in their application. All artists' work on display must be for sale. Buy-sell and/or imports are not allowed, and work from commercial casts/molds, kits, patterns, commercial designs, or done in classes/workshops are ineligible. For 2D reproductions, all must be clearly labeled "reproduction" and painters must display at least 50% original paintings rather than prints.
Artists must provide their own display racks, tables, and chairs. Tents are required and must be sturdy and properly weighted (at least 40lbs per pole leg). All spaces are approximately 10' x 10' (20' x 10' for double spaces) and are preassigned. Electricity is not available and generators are not permitted. Artists are responsible for collecting 6% Virginia sales tax on all show sales and must visit www.tax.va.gov for Form ST-50.
