R.G. Endres Gallery International Juried Photo Competition 2018

The R.G. Endres Gallery annual juried photography competition is held every January. The exhibition runs during the month of January with a gala reception on January 12th, 2018.

Eligibility: Open to all photographers, 18 years of age or older, whose submitted works are created independent of any supervision. Nine entries are allowed. Artists may enter all three categories but only one entry per category per artist will be accepted for the show. It is possible for one artist to have three works in the show, one in each category. Entry fee for one image is $30.00; each additional image is $5.00. Fees are non-refundable. A diptych or triptych can be submitted as one entry as long as it meets the same requirements as a single entry. Submissions open Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 and close Monday, November 20th, 2017. Finalists will be notified Tuesday, November 28th, 2017. Deadline for receipt of shipped works is Wednesday, December 27th, 2017; deadline for hand-delivered works is Friday, December 29th, 2017.

Categories: Portraits and People; Landscapes and Architecture; Abstract/non-traditional/photo-collage/highly digitally enhanced. Any image that does not fit clearly into the first two categories will be placed in the third category. Awards: Three "Best of Category" awards at $250.00 and six "Honorable Mention" awards at $100.00. Accepted artwork must be matted and fit into a standard size frame: 11" X 14", 16" X 20", 20" X 24", 12" X 36" or 24" X 36". All work must be for sale. The gallery sales commission is 40%. Prices listed on the entry form are binding and cannot be changed after submission. Matted images can be delivered by hand or mailed to the Prairie Village Arts Council, 7700 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208. Mailed works must include a postage paid return label. Hand-delivered images not sold must be picked up on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 between noon and 5PM. Any artwork unclaimed 30 days after the exhibition closing will become property of the Prairie Village Arts Council. Mailed works will be returned February 1st, 2018.
