Reverse Image: Juried Print Exhibition

Spark Gallery, Denver's original cooperative art gallery established in 1979, presents Reverse Image, a juried exhibition with an open call to Colorado artists who work in print. Located in the Art District on Santa Fe Drive, Spark fosters a spirit of artistic risk-taking and exploration.

The exhibition welcomes innovative digital printmaking techniques, traditional printmaking methods, and experimental approaches to the medium. Submissions must utilize traditional print media as their primary technique, including lithography, relief, intaglio, silkscreen, photo polymer plate (SolarPlates), and monotype. Non-traditional or digital output is accepted as a print element, but solely digital and photographic prints are not eligible. All 2D work must not exceed 36x36" (not including frame) and must be wired and ready to hang. No 3D sculptural work will be accepted.

The juror is Catherine Chauvin, an associate professor of printmaking at the University of Denver and Master Printer Certification holder from the Tamarind Institute. Awards include Best of Show ($200), Second Place ($100), and Third Place ($50). Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 pieces. Applicants must live in Colorado. Accepted work may be hand delivered on February 26 (12-5pm) or February 27 (1-4pm), or shipped via UPS or FedEx to arrive by February 25, 2022. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must include prepaid return packaging if not picking up work in person. The show closes March 20, 2022, with pickup available March 20 (3-6pm) or March 21 (12-3pm).
