Reverie, A Printmaking Exchange

Reverie, A Printmaking Exchange is a juried printmaking project where twelve selected artists will create an original archival print in a numbered edition of eighteen. Suggested archival printmaking media include monoprint, cyanotype, relief/block printing, etching, collagraph, silkscreen, lithography, and letterpress. Paper size is 8" x 10". The edition of 18 completely dry prints must be delivered to Sanchez Art Center by 5 pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Each participant will receive a boxed portfolio set of 12 prints, and the 6 remaining boxed portfolio sets will be available to collectors to benefit Sanchez Art Center.

Eligibility: Entrants must be 18 or older and must be members of the Art Guild of Pacifica (AGP). Non-members may join AGP when submitting their entry online. Entry fee is $15 (non-refundable). An additional $20 participation fee is due upon acceptance by December 14, 2017. Art Guild of Pacifica annual dues are $25 plus a $0.50 processing fee. Artists may submit up to three examples of their best printmaking work (2-dimensional hand-pulled prints). Accepted artists will be notified on Thursday, December 7, 2017. A mandatory meeting for artists will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 7 pm to discuss editioning, naming, archival process, and signature format.

A public reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, 7–9 pm, at which each artist will receive their boxed portfolio set. The theme for this 2018 exchange is "Reverie," defined as a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.
