Resilience

6 Bridges Gallery and ArtSpace Maynard invite artists to submit work for their 2nd collaborative, juried exhibit on the theme of Resilience. The theme explores the art of bouncing back and moving forward in the face of adversity, be it personal, environmental, social, or global. The exhibit will be juried by Jamaal Eversley, a Randolph-based artist and curator whose bold, abstract paintings, murals, and designs combine business with the arts to bring thoughtful and inspiring exhibitions and performances to communities throughout Greater Boston.

Up to 3 works may be submitted. Work must have been created within the past 3 years. 2D art must be wired and ready to hang (no sawtooth hangers); maximum size including frame is 40" in any direction. 3D art maximum weight is 40 lbs; maximum dimension in any direction is 40". Small pedestals will be provided for 3D pieces. All work must be for sale, and artists receive 60% on all sales. All work must remain on display through the duration of the exhibit. Open to all artists age 16 and older and all media except video.

Entry fees are $35 for the first entry and $5 each for second and third entries (ArtSpace Maynard Artist-Level Members receive $25 for the first entry and $5 each for additional entries). Additional media fee is $5.00. Notification of acceptance is May 30. Drop off accepted work June 25–28, 11 am–5 pm at 6 Bridges Gallery, 77 Main Street (front entrance), Maynard MA. Exhibit dates are July 9–August 9 with reception July 12, 5–7 pm. Pick up work August 10, 10 am–4 pm. A $20 late fee will be applied for works not picked up by August 10. Awards include the Resilience Award, Jurors Choice, and People's Choice.
