Request for Qualifications – Street Mural Design, Town of Cumberland

The Town of Cumberland invites artists to submit qualifications for a Street mural design that brings vibrancy, creativity, and a strong sense of place to our community. This project supports ongoing efforts to enhance public spaces and celebrate what makes Cumberland unique. We are seeking an artist to design a mural for the street intersection at Warehouse Street and S. Heflin Street near the Pennsy Trailhead. This uniquely shaped intersection offers an expanded surface area, approximately 600 square feet, creating an opportunity for an impactful design. The mural will be installed on asphalt and translated into a stencil for implementation through community paint days led by the Town. The selected artist will create a visually engaging, community-centered design that is both stencil-friendly and reflective of Cumberland’s identity.
