Representing the West

Representing the West is an international exhibition hosted by the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center in Pueblo, Colorado. The entry fee is $40 for non-members. One entry per artist may include up to 3 two-dimensional pieces and 5 three-dimensional pieces. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 72 inches in any dimension; three-dimensional works cannot exceed 60" x 36" x 36" and must weigh no more than 200 lbs. All wall-hung pieces must arrive prepared for hanging, all works on paper must be framed under glass or plexiglass, and three-dimensional pieces must be stable and ready to display. All pieces must be for sale, with the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center managing sales and receiving a 40% commission on the retail price.

Works must have been completed within the last two years. All images must be submitted in digital form as JPG files only, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 dpi, and not exceeding 5MB. Artists may enter online or deliver images in digital form (CD or thumb drive) to the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center Curator's Office. Submissions must include an artist's statement of 200 words or less. Entry fees can be paid by check sent to Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, 210 N. Santa Fe Ave., Pueblo, CO 81003. Accepted work must remain on exhibit through March 15, 2015. Awards include $5,000 for Best of Show, $1,000 for 1st Place, $500 for 2nd Place, and a Solo Exhibit for People's Choice.
