Rendered: Alternative Processes in Photography

CORE New Art Space invites all photographers working in non-traditional processes to submit artwork for the juried exhibition "Rendered: Alternative Processes in Photography." This exhibition runs in conjunction with the Month of Photography, a culmination of hundreds of photographic exhibitions and events in Denver, Colorado and other national and international locations.

CORE New Art Space, founded in 1981, is a non-profit contemporary art cooperative comprised of 24 member artists located in Denver's historic Santa Fe Arts District. CORE provides professional gallery space to its members and the broader arts community, offering juried feature exhibitions and opportunities for artists to explore new forms of expression and promote understanding of contemporary art.

The juror is Lesha Maria Rodriguez, an award-winning photographer based in San Diego, California who specializes in non-traditional photography and teaches at Long Beach City College and Cypress Community College. Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable) for up to three artworks per artist. Entries accepted January 10 - February 22, 2015. Exhibition dates: March 26 - April 12, 2015. Opening reception: April 3, 2015, 6:00-9:00 p.m. Artists will be notified February 27, 2015. Artwork must arrive by March 20, 2015 (hand delivery deadline: March 22, 2015). Artwork will be returned by May 1, 2015. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. All shipments must include prepaid return shipping labels and be shipped in reusable containers without styrofoam peanuts. Accepted artwork must be shipped installation-ready, completely dry, framed with wire hangers, and ready for hanging. All work must be available for loan during the entire exhibition period.
