REMIX

The Ann Arbor Art Center is seeking artists working in any media for a summer exhibition titled REMIX, juried by Andrew Rosinski (Brooklyn, NY). All artwork mediums are welcome, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture & objects, text, new media, and moving image, as well as new and traditional modes of artmaking combined in unexpected ways. Artwork may be an abstraction of recognizable imagery; satirical, ironic or social commentary on its subject; influenced by the internet age and the network in which it exists; or may employ visual rhetoric of advertising, corporate branding and commercial software tools.

Eligibility is open to any artist who is 18 years or older. Works must be original within the previous two years and must not have been previously shown in any competition at the Ann Arbor Art Center. The non-refundable entry fee is $35, which entitles each artist to submit up to three images and/or one video. Submissions must be made in digital format through CaFÉ at CallForEntry.org by May 9, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Artwork delivery is due no later than June 4, 2017. The exhibition runs June 8 - July 22, 2017, with an opening reception and awards ceremony on Thursday, June 8 (6-9pm). Awards include Best of Show: $500, 2nd Place: $200, and 3rd Place: $100. All artists will be notified of juror selections via email. Accepted artworks must arrive "ready to hang." Artists are responsible for all shipping and return shipping costs. Artwork pick-up is available Sunday, July 23 - Thursday, July 27.
