Remarque Print Exchange 2021

The Remarque Print Exchange is open to all U.S. printmakers and is limited to 200 participants in order of registration. Each participating artist sends an edition of eleven hand-pulled original prints. In return, each artist receives ten original prints by other artists, randomly selected by the organizers. One print from every edition received is retained to be exhibited and potentially sold to benefit the educational scholarship fund. Prints will also be included in an online gallery.

All forms of editionable, hand-pulled prints are acceptable, including etching/aquatint, lithography, photo polymer, woodcut, linocut, mezzotint, and screenprint. Monotypes, giclées, reproductions, and photographs are not acceptable. No glitter or 3-D elements are permitted. Paper size must be 8" x 10". The complete edition must be eleven prints, each signed and numbered (1/11 - 11/11). Artist proofs may be retained (marked A/P). Prints may be signed and numbered on the back if preferred, and the artist's name should be printed clearly on the back of each print.

The entry fee is $35 for U.S. participants, which includes return shipping of the package of ten prints. Registration opens October 15 and closes December 15 (or when 200 artists sign up, whichever comes first). The submission deadline for shipping prints is February 5. The Print Exchange Opening Reception is March 5 at Remarque Print Workshop, with the online gallery available for viewing. Print shipments begin March 5-20. A limited number of vouchers are available for artists who cannot afford the fee; contact the organizers for information.
