Relationships

Webster Arts invites art submissions for a themed exhibition titled Relationships. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly, considering relationships in all forms including human bonds, intentional communities, relationships with other species, and relationships within ecosystems.

The exhibition is open to artists age 18 and older residing in the US or abroad. All media are welcome in two- and three-dimensional work. No floor or ceiling hung installations or video submissions are accepted. Work must be original conception and execution of the artist listed on the application and cannot have been previously exhibited at Webster Arts galleries. Submissions consist of up to 10 JPEG digital images (1000 to 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size). Entry fee is $15 for up to two entries, $5 for each additional entry up to a total of 10 images. Submission deadline is October 25, 2020. All artists will be notified by email by November 2, 2020.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the exhibit will be hosted virtually with a virtual Zoom reception on November 17, 2020. Artist talks are planned via YouTube and Facebook Live, and all selected artwork will be featured on social media. Sales are encouraged, and Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. An independent juror will select work for inclusion in the exhibit and for cash prizes. Artists may be selected for solo or 2-3 person shows in the future. Exhibition dates are November 17 - December 31, 2020.
