REENTRY: A National Call for Art, All Media

Webster Arts is accepting submissions for REENTRY, a national juried visual art exhibition featuring artworks that explore the concept or process of reentering. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the mark it continues to leave on the world, this exhibition explores the idea of reentry into a world that no longer looks, feels or functions in the same way. Artists may explore this idea through the lens of a pandemic or by applying this concept to other life altering events such as a career shift, lifestyle change, relocation, medical breakthrough, scientific discovery, etc.

The exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and older, residing in the US or abroad. All media are accepted with the exception of video. Entry fee is $25 for up to three entries, $5 for each additional entry up to a total of 10 images. Submit up to 10 JPEG digital images (1000 to 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5 MB maximum file size). Submission deadline is August 15, 2021. Artists will be notified by email on August 27, 2021.

The exhibition will be held September 14 – October 31, 2021 at the Webster Arts Center, Webster Groves, MO 63119. In-person delivery of artwork is September 8-9, 2021, with a deadline of September 10, 2021 for shipped artwork. The opening reception is September 14, 2021. Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 48" X 48". Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32" X 32" X 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. An independent juror will select work for inclusion in the exhibit and for cash prizes. Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. Artwork will be insured for its declared value from receipt through pickup. Pre-paid artwork return and in-person pickup available November 3-10, 2021.
