Red Rock Pastel Society Nevada Member Juried Exhibition

This is a juried exhibition for members of the Red Rock Pastel Society Nevada (RRPSNV). Eligible artists must hold one of the following credentials: IAPS MC or Eminent Pastelist, PSA Signature, Signature level in other societies (Platinum RR members are not considered Signature members), have won several awards (Best in Show, I, II, or III) in National or International competitions, or have taught an IAPS or PSA workshop or presented at IAPS.

Artwork must be created with dry pastel, with the top layer consisting of at least 80% dry pastel. Only two-dimensional works are eligible; pastel mosaic, sculpture, and digital pastel works are not permitted. Works must be original and not copied from other artists or published material. Works based on AI-generated references are not accepted, though artists may use software to edit their own references. All artwork must have been created within the last two years and must not have been awarded major awards (Best in Show, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) in other shows. Works exhibited in previous RRPSNV Member Juried Exhibitions are not eligible. Entry fees are $35 for the first image and $10 for each additional image for members; $30 for the first image and $10 for each additional for Platinum members. Up to 5 images may be submitted per artist. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the deadline of July 17, 2024.

Awards include Best in Show ($1,000 or sponsor-provided prize of equal or greater value), 1st ($500), 2nd ($300), 3rd ($200), Honorable Mentions, Juror's Choice Awards, and 3 Awards of Excellence. Submit high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background.
