About This Call
The 50th Annual Red River Revel Arts Festival is a celebration of art, music, food, and culture held at Festival Plaza in Shreveport, Louisiana. The festival features visual artists, four performance stages, food booths, and a children's arts education area. The festival dates are Thursday-Sunday on two weekends: October 8-11 and October 15-18, 2026. Artists may choose the 1st weekend, the 2nd weekend, or both weekends. There is a limited number of double booths for single weekend applicants; acceptance will be based on the highest jury scores.
Artists are selected through a blind jury process comprised of art experts, gallery owners, and professional artists. Artists' identities are not disclosed to the jury. Artwork must be original, designed, and handcrafted by the exhibiting artist(s). No commercial reproductions or mass-produced items are allowed. Artists may apply in more than one category but must submit a separate application form, fee, and images for each medium. All jewelry must be juried in the jewelry category, and only those artists accepted in jewelry may display or sell jewelry. The application fee is $40 (non-refundable). Up to 2 applications may be submitted per artist.
Artist amenities include direct sales with no commission, tents with outer walls provided, free parking, 24-hour on-site security, a hospitality room with beverages, booth sitters and volunteers, a wristband for food and beverage with a $10 per diem for each festival day, guidebook and website listing, and $90,000+ in event marketing. Revel artists accounted for nearly a million dollars in sales in 2025, averaging over $10,000 per artist. Jury awards include Best in Show ($2,500), 1st Half Juror Award ($1,000), 2nd Half Juror Award ($1,000), and four Artistic Merit Awards ($750 each). To qualify for a Jury Award, an artist must contribute artwork valued at a minimum of $100 to the Wayne Curtis Objets D'Art Fundraiser. Applications open February 9, 2026, with a deadline of May 1, 2026. Notification of acceptance is May 22, 2026, with a contract and booth fee deadline of August 1, 2026.
