About This Call
The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County is accepting submissions for Reclaimed!, an exhibition sponsored by Waste Management and the City of Fayetteville's Environmental Services Department. The exhibition will be held at the Arts Council at 301 Hay Street in downtown Fayetteville, NC from June 28 - August 17, 2019.
This is a juried exhibition open to any artist at least 18 years of age living in the United States. Artists may submit up to 3 works created within the last 3 years that have never been shown or previously entered into any Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County exhibition. All 2D and 3D mediums are accepted. Artwork must be original and created with repurposed materials and found objects, incorporating at least 70 percent of repurposed, recyclable, or reused materials. Work must fit within the entryway of the building (no larger than 82" x 32"). The entry fee is $25 for up to three works. Digital entries must be submitted through www.callforentry.org by May 27, 2019. Each submission should include the work's title, medium, size, sales price, and a general artist's statement (150 words or less). Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than June 7, 2019.
The juror is Bryant Holsenbeck, an environmental artist from Durham, NC known for creating art from recycled materials. Total awards of $1,000 will be distributed. The Arts Council will retain a 30% commission from sales. All work is insured while at the Arts Council. Works must be received by June 20, 2019 and should be shipped prepaid via UPS, USPS, DHL, or FedEx with a prepaid return-shipping label. For questions, contact Adrienne Trego at 910-323-1776 or [email protected].
