(re)Building: Atlantic Gallery Juried Exhibition 2021

Atlantic Gallery is hosting a juried group exhibition titled (re)Building, running July 13–31, 2021. The exhibition seeks works from 2020-21 that embrace the spirit of rebuilding, renewal, and resiliency. All submitted artwork must utilize wax, whether in the form of cold wax, encaustic, or both, in two-dimensional or three-dimensional works. Additional media including oils, acrylics, ceramics, and plaster are permitted.

The grand prize winner will receive a solo show at Atlantic Gallery in NYC's Chelsea art district at a later date. One runner-up artist will be awarded the book 'Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts & Conversations' by Jerry McLaughlin and Rebecca Crowell. The exhibition will be juried by Jerry McLaughlin, painter, award-winning author, and co-founder of Cold Wax Academy. A printed full-color catalog will be provided to each accepted artist.

Entry is open to all artists at least 18 years old. The entry fee is $40 for 1–3 works, with an additional $5 per work up to 5 works total. Submissions must include 3–5 images (JPEG format, 1200–1800 pixels minimum on smallest side, 5 MB maximum). Two-dimensional works including frame may not exceed 36 inches in width and height. Three-dimensional works must fit on a 19" square pedestal or artist-provided stand, with maximum dimensions of 36" x 36" height. All work must be suitably framed or finished, wired, and ready for hanging. Sculptors must submit two views of each work. The submission deadline is June 12, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artwork delivery is July 1–10, 2021. Hand-delivered work must be picked up July 31 or August 3, 2021 between 12 p.m.–6 p.m. The gallery will take a 25% commission on any work sold.
