About This Call
Rebellion 2023 is an international group exhibition inviting visual artists worldwide to express their artistic interpretations of rebellion in any form, medium, and composition. The exhibition highlights the transformative power of rebellion in the art world and seeks rebellious expressions that challenge norms and inspire people to act for human rights, freedom, values, and dignity.
Artists are invited to submit work addressing themes including rebellious forms and colors, movements against oppression and inequality, rebellious icons and people, historical events of resistance, media and emotions, and rebellion in music, literature, and movies. All 2D and 3D art in any medium is welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, fiber art, installation, digital arts, and mixed media. Both representational and abstract artworks are accepted. Artists can submit up to 5 artworks, with a maximum of 2 selected per artist. Artworks should be original works created within the last 5 years and must not include pornographic, violent, or hateful content.
Selected artworks will be exhibited online from July 15, 2023 to September 15, 2023. Awards include online exhibition, promotion to potential buyers, publication in a stylish colorful exhibition catalogue (available in online and print versions), digital promotional badges, artwork reviews and ratings from visitors, exhibition promotion through press releases and social media, analytics reports, possible publication in art magazines and books, a free artist profile page on the Biafarin platform, and a digital certificate. Submission is free. If selected, a fixed fee of USD 35 applies. Up to 5 artworks can be submitted.
