About This Call

The Kollection invites artists worldwide to submit work for its second annual group exhibition at its gallery space in Brooklyn, made possible by a lasting commitment to the arts from SAA + Associated NYC. An unrestricted grant of $5,000 will be awarded to one participating artist, courtesy of Four Four Entertainment. This open call reflects The Kollection's commitment to supporting emerging artistic voices and fostering long-term relationships with artists.

The exhibition invites artists to consider rebellion and what it means to resist socially, politically, culturally, or personally, while also recognizing resilience as a sustaining force. Rather than framing rebellion solely as rupture or refusal, the exhibition considers resistance as an intentional practice characterized by endurance, adaptation, care, and persistence over time. The initiative explores how rebellion and resilience operate in the present moment, particularly as resistance becomes increasingly mediated, circulated, and aestheticized across digital platforms.

Artists at all career stages from local, national, or international contexts are encouraged to apply. Submissions should include 3-5 images or documentation of recent or proposed work, artwork information (title, medium, dimensions, year), a brief artist statement, bio, and links to website or social media. All mediums are welcome including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, outdoor installation, performance, sound, and hybrid practices, provided their translation into physical gallery space remains central. Performance and sound-based works must be feasible within the physical and temporal constraints of the exhibition space. Entry fee: $10. Open call deadline: March 12, 2026. Notification of selected artists: March 20-27, 2026. Exhibition dates: May 1-10, 2026. Gallery location: 53 Scott Avenue, Brooklyn, New York.
