Raw: The Exhibition

Raw: The Exhibition is a February 2018 exhibition at the Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery. The call seeks work that explores the question of what is public versus private, including autobiographical work, confessional pieces, and work that is revelatory or cathartic.

The exhibit is open to all artists who are at least 18 years of age. All fine art media are accepted including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, glass, prints, photography, collage, graphics, pastels, video, and mixed media. All entries must be original and created within the last two years. Artwork must be no larger than 60" in width measured horizontally; sculptures should not exceed 11 ft. in height. A maximum of 4 pieces can be entered per artist. All work must be accurately represented in high resolution (300dpi) jpeg images. 2D artwork must be framed and have a secure way to hang; canvases must have covered sides and staples. Sculptures should be fully assembled and structurally sound with detailed installation instructions if necessary.

Delivery of artwork is January 9-11, 2018 during gallery hours or by appointment. The exhibition runs February 7 – March 3, 2018, with an opening reception on February 7 from 4-7pm. Pickup is March 6-8, 2018. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping. The gallery will retain 30% of all sales, with artists receiving 70%. All work will be insured by the gallery at declared value for the duration of the show. Artists will be notified on or before December 15, 2017.
