About This Call
RedLine, a contemporary art center in Denver, Colorado, is accepting proposals for a 20th anniversary exhibition in collaboration with the Artnauts. This exhibition invites Artnaut members to create new works of art celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Artnaut's mission to promote social justice worldwide.
Proposals must include personal information, a bio (150 words maximum), and details about the proposed artwork. Each work should feature one location where an Artnaut exhibition has previously occurred and address a social justice issue relating to that location through the concept of a flag—as a physical object, symbol, ritual, aesthetic, or medium. There are no size or medium restrictions. Applicants must provide a title (the primary title should be the location of a past Artnaut exhibition), a subtitle, thematic focus statement (150 words maximum), verbal description of the proposed artwork including medium and size (150 words maximum), visuals of the proposed work (either 6 sketches/diagrams or one 3-minute video), and installation requirements (100 words maximum).
Work samples may include 1-6 images, 0-5 audio files, and 0-6 video files, with a total of 1-6 samples. The application deadline is June 18, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The exhibition runs from April 11, 2016 to June 15, 2016. International artists are eligible.
