Raleigh Fine Arts Society: 2022 North Carolina Artists Exhibition

The Raleigh Fine Arts Society invites North Carolina artists to submit work for the 2022 North Carolina Artists Exhibition. Applicants must be North Carolina residents, age 18 or older. Artists may submit up to two original works created after July 1, 2020. Works must not exceed 60 inches in any dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds. All art must be available for purchase; artists receive 70% of sales price with Raleigh Fine Arts Society receiving 30%. Artworks previously selected for Raleigh Fine Arts Society exhibitions are ineligible.

The entry fee is $35 for up to two works and is nonrefundable. Entries must be submitted online through CaFÉ by 5:00 p.m. on July 20, 2022. Artists must submit 1-5 images per work (one image for 2D work, up to three images for 3D work). Image files may not exceed 5MB with minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. The juror is Dorothy Moss, Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. Awards totaling $10,000 will be presented: one $5,000 Betsy J. Sykes Award, one $3,000 award from the Joyce Wilkins Pope Endowment, and two $1,000 Juror's Choice Awards.

The exhibition will be held at The Woman's Club in Raleigh for two weeks, with an Opening Reception & Art Sale on Sunday, October 9, 2022, and closing October 23, 2022. A catalogue will be published featuring selected artists. Selected works must be delivered in excellent condition and ready to install by October 24, 2022. Two-dimensional work must be properly framed using conservation or museum glass and wired for hanging. Three-dimensional work requires suitable display stands.
