Raleigh Fine Arts Society: 2018 North Carolina Annual Artists Exhibition

The Raleigh Fine Arts Society invites North Carolina residents ages 18 and over to submit original works created after January 1, 2017 for the 2018 North Carolina Annual Artists Exhibition. Artists may submit up to two works. Entry fee is $35.00. Entries must be submitted online through CaFÉ and finalized by January 7, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST.

Work specifications: Maximum dimension of 72 inches (including frame) and weight no more than 200 pounds. Submit 1-6 digital images per entry (up to 3 images for three-dimensional work). Image files cannot exceed 5MB, with minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi resolution. Two-dimensional work must be properly framed and wired. Three-dimensional work must include display stands or pedestals. Giclee prints are not acceptable; digital photography and digital prints are acceptable.

Juror Jennifer Dasal, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art at the North Carolina Museum of Art, will select three $1,000 Juror's Choice awards and one $3,000 Grand Prize. All accepted artwork must be available for purchase, with RFAS receiving a 30% commission. Selected works will be featured in a professional exhibition catalogue with a full page for each artist, including a photograph of the artwork and up to 200 words of artist and biographical information. The exhibition opens March 4, 2018 at the Betty Ray McCain Gallery in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, 2 East South St., Raleigh, NC. Accepted works may be hand-delivered February 26 or March 1, 2018, or shipped via UPS or FedEx. Unsold work must be picked up by April 23, 2018. Contact [email protected] with questions.
