About This Call
The Raleigh Fine Arts Society invites North Carolina residents (ages 18 and over) to submit original works created within 2014-2015 for exhibition at the Betty Ray McCain Gallery, Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, 2 East South Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601. The exhibition runs March 6 - April 28, 2016.
Eligibility and Requirements: Artists may submit two original works (giclée prints are not accepted). Works previously exhibited in Raleigh Fine Arts Society exhibitions are not eligible. All work must be the sole work and exclusive property of the artist. Two-dimensional work must be wired and ready to hang. The maximum dimension of a single work, including frame, is 72 inches and should weigh no more than 200 pounds. All art must be available for purchase; RFAS receives a 30% commission with firm sale prices.
Submission Details: Submit digital images of two works in JPEG format (one image for two-dimensional works, three for three-dimensional works). File sizes cannot exceed 3MB with a minimum of 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. The entry fee is $35.00, payable via PayPal. Digital entry submission is open October 1, 2015 through January 12, 2016 at 5:00 pm MST. Notification letters will be mailed February 18, 2016. Hand delivery of accepted works is scheduled for February 29 and March 1, 2016. The juror is Bradley Sumrall, Chief Curator and Collections Manager of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Awards include three Juror's Choice awards of $1000 each and a Grand Prize of $3000.
