Radical Unity Georgia

Radical Unity Georgia seeks creative proposals from artists and creatives across Georgia to engage communities in exploring common humanity and strengthening civic fabric. Four individuals will be selected and each awarded a $15,000 stipend to produce their work, which must be completed by October 6th, 2024.

All mediums of creative expression are welcome. Proposals should clearly indicate both the plan for developing the creative work and how it will engage the community and strengthen civic fabric. Submissions should include: a description of the creative work (samples welcome via JPEG, PDF, MP3, MP4, etc., with maximum of 10 images, 5 minutes total video, 5 minutes total audio, or 5 pages of PDF); a timeline showing completion by October 6th, 2024; a simple budget demonstrating the work can be accomplished with the $15,000 allocated funds; and a description of the work's intended effect and how it addresses the theme of engaging community in common humanity or strengthening civic fabric.

The organization seeks geographic diversity across Georgia, particularly in communities lacking sufficient investment in arts and culture, as well as diversity of creatives and different types of expressions. Proposals will be evaluated on: quality of creative vision (25 points); alignment with Radical Unity mission and theme (25 points); potential for realization (10 points); engagement with and bridging of community (10 points); reflection of place (10 points); and anticipated impact (20 points). Entry fee is $5.00. Two letters of reference are required by the deadline. Jury dates are June 25 - July 8, 2024.
