About This Call
This is an online juried exhibition for works on paper. Artists must be 18 or older. Entry fees are $40 for PWCS members and $50 for non-members. All entries must be for sale, and prices cannot be changed once submitted.
Accepted media includes watercolor, soft pastels, charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, pen & ink, gouache, acrylic, hand-pulled prints, and clay prints on Reemay using water soluble mediums. Collage elements must be of paper with water media imagery created by the artist. Oils, oil pastels, photographic, digital, and computer art are not accepted. All work must be original and on or of paper, created within the last 3 years (no work produced prior to June 2020). Work previously exhibited in any PWCS juried exhibition or Community Art Center exhibition will not be accepted. Artwork cannot be exhibited concurrently in other shows. Artists may not substitute another work for an accepted work, and accepted artists may not withhold their work. No side of the image visible within the mat can be less than 10" unless the total area exceeds 100 square inches.
Submit high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified. Awards include a $2,000 PWCS Award for Best in Show, a $1,500 Elizabeth Shober Hooper Award for Excellence in Presentation & Technique, and a $1,000 PWCS Founders Award. For questions, contact Dennis Murphy at [email protected].
