PVAC Holiday Show

PVAC Holiday Juried Art Show, December 8–31, 2017. This is a juried all-media exhibition hosted by and open for submission only to Members of Palos Verdes Art Center. The juror is Ruth Weisberg, an artist and Professor of Fine Arts at U.S.C., where she is also Former Dean of the U.S.C. Roski School of Art and Design.

Online submission deadline is Friday, October 27, 2017. Maximum number of entries is 3. Take-in of selected works is Saturday, December 2, 2017 between 9am and noon. Opening reception is 6–9pm, Friday, December 8, 2017, with Juror's Walk-Through for Participating Artists from 5–6pm. Close of show pick up is Tuesday, January 2, 2018 between 9am and noon.

For two-dimensional work, maximum size is 50 x 60 inches including frame, with weight not to exceed 30 pounds. For three-dimensional works, maximum size is 72 x 36 x 36 inches with weight not to exceed 150 pounds. All two-dimensional work must be ready to hang with wire attached. Unframed paintings with wrap-around canvas at least 1 1/2 inch of depth are allowed, but edges must be painted. Canvases that are not wrap-around or thinner than 1 1/2 inches must be framed. No damaged frames are permitted.

Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries (nonrefundable), payable by credit card onsite or by check payable to PVAC at the front desk. PVAC will take a 25% commission on all sales of exhibited works. Insurance coverage applies only to the duration of the exhibition. PVAC carries no earthquake insurance. Artwork must remain in the exhibition through Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
