About This Call
The Putnam CT Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will be held June 13-14, 2026, featuring 70+ fine artists and artisans from New England, New York, and New Jersey. The outdoor festival showcases handmade work including original painting, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass, and more. Visitors can enjoy live musical entertainment, and the venue is a short walk from Downtown Putnam with local shops, galleries, and restaurants.
Eligibility and Requirements: Artists must be 18 years or older and create original, hand-crafted work in one of the following categories: Drawing, Fiber, Folk-art, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalworking, Painting, Paper, Photography, Ceramics, Printmaking, Woodworking, Mixed Media, or Other. All work must be designed and crafted by the applying artist. Applications must include artist name, medium, work description, price range, and 5 images—one of which must be a fully set up fair-ready booth shot. Entry fee is $10. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis until capacity of 70 artists is reached. Accepted artists must pay a $125 booth fee by May 23, 2026. Artists will be notified by email upon acceptance.
Booth Details and Rules: Each artist receives a 12x12 booth space for a 10x10 canopy. The Town of Putnam provides only the physical space; artists must provide their own tents, tables, canopies, signage, and weights (spikes are not permitted). No electricity or generators are allowed. Setup occurs Friday, June 12 (12pm-7pm) and Saturday, June 13 (7am-9:45am). The festival runs 10am-4pm on June 13-14. All work must be original, hand-crafted, and for sale with clearly marked prices. Work must be family-friendly and not exhibit racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise offensive content. The festival is drug-free with no smoking allowed in or near booths. Artists are responsible for Connecticut sales tax (6.35%). This is an outdoor festival operating rain or shine; artists must protect their work from weather. 100% booth fee refunds are available if cancellation is received before May 23, 2026; no refunds after that date.
