About This Call
The Putnam CT Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will be held June 21-22, 2025, featuring 50-60 fine artists and artisans from New England, New York, and New Jersey. The outdoor festival showcases handmade, original work including painting, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass, and more. The venue is located a short walk from Downtown Putnam with local shops, galleries, and restaurants.
Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2025, with a $10 entry fee. Applicants must submit 5 images, including one booth shot showing a fully set-up fair-ready booth. Artists will be notified of acceptance on a rolling basis until capacity of 60 artists is reached. Accepted artists must pay a $125 booth fee by May 26, 2025. Each artist receives a 12' x 12' booth space for a 10' x 10' canopy. Setup occurs Friday, June 20 (12pm-7pm) and Saturday, June 21 (7am-9:45am). The festival runs 10am-4pm both days.
All work must be original, handmade by the applying artist, and fall into one of the designated categories: drawing, fiber, folk-art, glass, jewelry, leather, metalworking, painting, paper, photography, ceramics, printmaking, woodworking, mixed media, or other. Artists may apply in up to 2 categories. Work must be family-friendly and not exhibit anything racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise offensive. All artwork shown must be for sale with clearly marked prices. Artists are responsible for providing tents, tables, or canopies (white preferred), signage, and weights for tents. No electricity or generators are provided. The festival is rain or shine; exhibitors must protect their work from weather. Cancellations receive 100% refund if received before May 22, 2025.
