About This Call
The Putnam CT Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will be held June 22-23, 2024, featuring 50-60 fine artists and artisans from New England, New York, and New Jersey. The outdoor festival showcases handmade and original work including painting, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass, and more. Visitors can enjoy live musical entertainment, and the venue is a short walk from Downtown Putnam with local shops, galleries, and restaurants.
Applications must include artist name, medium, work description, price range, and 5 images—one of which must be a fully set up fair-ready booth. The entry fee is $10. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis until capacity of 60 artists is reached, with notification by April 20. Accepted artists must pay a $125 booth fee by May 20. Artists must be 18 years or older and attend the entire festival. All work must be original, hand-crafted, and designed by the applying artist. Work must be categorized into one of the following: Drawing, Fiber, Folk-art, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalworking, Painting, Paper, Photography, Ceramics, Printmaking, Woodworking, Mixed Media, or Other. Artists may apply in up to 2 categories but must submit one application per category.
Booth Setup: Each artist receives a 12x12 space for a 10x10 canopy. Setup is available Friday, June 21, 12pm-7pm and Saturday, June 22, 7am-10am. The festival runs 10am-4pm on both days. Artists must provide their own tents, tables, canopies, signage, and weights (no spikes allowed). No electricity or generators are permitted. All work must be for sale with clearly marked prices. The festival is drug-free with no smoking allowed in or near booths. 100% booth fee refunds are available if cancellation is received before May 22, 2024.
