About This Call
PUNCH Gallery presents an international call for creative projects. The winning project will be exhibited at PUNCH Gallery, located in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle, during December 2010, and will provide an excellent opportunity to gain exposure within the Northwest regional art scene.
Artists or curators from any country may submit a project proposal in any medium. Projects may be solo, group, or curated in any of the following categories: Visual Arts, New Media, Video, Performance, Sound, Installation, Theatre, Music, Food Arts, Activism, or any other project appropriate for the space.
The selected entry will receive full use of the gallery for December, a professionally printed postcard, vinyl lettering for the gallery window, email announcement, press release, reception, and gallery staff coverage Thursday-Saturday (except holidays). A cash honorarium will be given to help cover travel and expenses (final amount determined by total number of submissions received). The selected applicant is responsible for installation, shipping of works, and any project-related costs.
Submission Requirements: $20 entry fee, 5-10 images in JPEG format, written proposal (300 words or less), and artist resume. For video, sound, or motion work, provide a link to an online media file. The deadline for receipt of submissions is October 22 at 10 p.m. Pacific time. Notification of the winning project will be announced October 25. Project installation is scheduled for November 28 - December 1, with the opening reception on December 2.
