PUNCH Gallery 2015 International Juried Show

PUNCH Gallery presents an international juried exhibition taking place November and December 2015. Located in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of downtown Seattle, the gallery provides an opportunity to gain exposure within the Northwest regional art scene. Artists from any country may submit work in any medium, including traditional media, crafts, experimental genres, video, sound, or installation. Complicated installation procedures may require the artist to assist with installation. Members of PUNCH are not eligible to enter.

Each artist may submit up to 10 image entries total, with video and audio entries each limited to a maximum of 6 entries combined. The entry fee is $15 for the first image or media file and $5 for each additional image or media file. Fees are nonrefundable. Acceptable file formats include JPEG for 2-D and 3-D works, .mov or .mp4 for video, and .mp3 for audio. Work must be able to fit through the gallery's front door (81"x40"). The deadline for online submissions is October 11, 2015 at 10 p.m. Pacific Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email on October 16, 2015. Accepted work must be received by October 30, 2015. The exhibition opens November 5, 2015 with an opening reception and award announcement, and closes December 19, 2015.

All accepted artists will receive reimbursement for return shipping and a commemorative prize medal. Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories: Juror's Choice Award $500, PUNCH Choice Award $500, and Critic's Choice Award $500. Entrants are also frequently offered additional exhibition opportunities curated by PUNCH members. PUNCH will retain a 35% commission on all artwork sales. It is not required that accepted works be for sale. The artist is responsible for shipping expenses to the gallery and for carrying insurance for their work. PUNCH will cover return shipping up to $150 and will insure work for return shipping up to $1,000 in value.
