About This Call

Ann Connelly Fine Art seeks original artwork for a healthcare facility installation program. The program aims to engage patients, staff, and visitors through art that inspires, promotes positivity, and creates an environment of healing. Selected artwork will be diverse in scale and voice with dynamic use of media intended to resonate with individuals from every walk of life.

Artwork must be appropriate for a public healthcare environment and sensitive to perspectives from individuals of all walks of life. Acceptable mediums include traditional and contemporary approaches such as collage, installation, sculpture, and fiber arts. Artwork must be readily available or able to be commissioned within a 6-8 week window. Thematic inspiration includes natural world elements such as tree canopies, flowering, growth, organic geometry, and natural structures like honeycombs and nests. Abstracted forms using flora and fauna as inspiration are acceptable. Artwork should not include religious iconography or references to after-life, heavenly bodies, or ascension. Artists should consider how coloration and the artwork's voice will affect viewers from diverse backgrounds. Artwork must be compliant for a healthcare facility: no sharp edges, no excessively fragile elements, no removable pieces, and archival under daylight or interior lighting.

Submit quality images (1-10) of available or readily commissionable artwork with accurate color correction and presentation. For dimensional or mixed media work, multiple images from different angles are preferred. Conceptual sketches, drawings, and renderings are not acceptable. Include an up-to-date CV or artist resume. The call is open to all professional artists regardless of academic training. Artists represented by commercial fine art galleries must be able to work within Louisiana without exclusivity agreements with other galleries or representing bodies. If selected, artwork may need to be shipped for in-person validation; shipping costs are the artist's responsibility. Return shipping costs are covered by the consultant.
