About This Call
The City of Orlando Public Art Department is seeking a professional artist to design custom artwork for the Tennis Centre. The project budget is approximately $5,000. The City prefers a local artist living within a 200-mile radius of downtown Orlando but will consider artists outside this radius.
The artwork should be tennis-friendly and depict tennis players in a colorful format that is generic regarding race, gender, and age. The design must include depictions of adaptive athletes. Experience with public art projects with a similar budget is desired. The artist must have a proven track record meeting budget and time schedules, and their work must have been or currently be on display in a public setting.
Applicants must submit a professional resume, a letter of interest outlining their interest in the project and preliminary statement of approach, and a minimum of one image (maximum 12). Images of finished works or conceptual drawings are acceptable. This opportunity is open to professional artists working in two-dimensional media with contemporary style. Contact: [email protected]
