About This Call
Denver Public Art seeks to commission an artist or artist team to create original public artwork(s) for the 47th and Telluride Park in Denver, CO. A 10-member selection panel of community representatives, arts and design professionals, and civic leaders will select one artist or artist team for the allocated total budget of approximately USD $90,000.00.
Eligibility is open to artists or artist teams residing in the United States. Applicants must submit 6-8 images and may include up to 1 video. The deadline is Monday, March 16th, 2026, 11:59 P.M. MST. Denver Public Art will host a virtual pre-application meeting on Wednesday, March 4, 5:30-6:30 p.m. to cover project backgrounds and goals, selection process schedule, and the application process. Interested applicants can register on Eventbrite for Zoom access, and a recording will be available on the Denver Arts & Venues YouTube channel.
The new park at 47th and Telluride will include athletic fields, sports courts, a play area, walkways, and other community-requested amenities. Construction is expected to be complete in the summer of 2027. The park is bounded by KIPP Colorado Northeast Middle School and residential neighborhoods in the Green Valley Ranch area of northeast Denver.
