About This Call

Rowan University is seeking artists to create art installations for the eastern façade of the Bank Building Academic Center Addition in Camden, New Jersey. The project is part of the State of New Jersey Public Buildings Arts Inclusion Act. Two proposed locations for art are available: one on the masonry portion of the building and one on the glazing of the same façade. The art should represent the values of Rowan University and pay tribute to the history of Camden and its renaissance.

Artists from New Jersey and the Philadelphia area may submit one application for interest in one or both art pieces, or partner with other artists to submit a joint proposal. The proposed budget is approximately $90,000 for the art on the windows and $50,000 for the other section of wall. The commissioned art is to be completed and installed around July 2016. The committee reserves the right to award the commission for one or both pieces and/or adjust the budget based on the proposals received.

Submit up to six images from previously commissioned public art projects, including project amount and contact information/references, along with your public art resume. Minimum 4 images required, maximum 6 images.
