PSNM 24th Annual National Pastel Painting Exhibition

The Pastel Society of New Mexico invites artists to enter paintings for consideration in the 24th Annual National Pastel Painting Exhibition, running October 31 - November 29, 2015 at the Hispanic Arts Center, EXPO New Mexico in Albuquerque. The exhibition is open to international artists. Entry fee is $40 for PSNM members (with coupon code) or $47 for non-members, covering up to 3 entries. Artists must submit 1-3 digital images (1920 pixels on longest side, 72 dpi, jpg format) by August 15, 2015.

Jurors Ray Hassard, Casey Klahn, and Christine Swann will independently score entries. Judge Liz Haywood-Sullivan will select award winners from accepted work. Awards include 1st place $1500, 2nd place $1000, 3rd place $750, 4th place $500, plus sponsor awards totaling more than $10,000. Acceptance notifications will be sent by September 15, 2015. Accepted paintings must be sturdily framed and ready to hang with minimum dimension of 8" x 10" (or 80 sq. in.) and maximum frame dimension of 48" in either direction. No metal frames, name plaques on front, or signed mats are permitted. Glass or Plexiglas covering is required. Hand-delivered work must arrive Friday, October 23, 9-10:30 am. Shipped work must arrive at Peli, Inc., 4812 Jefferson NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109 between October 15-21. Shipping is the artist's responsibility; Peli handling fees apply. Unsold hand-delivered paintings must be retrieved November 29, 5-6 pm or November 30, 9-11 am.
