PSA Annual Exhibition

The PSA Annual is an exhibition open to all PSA members with current membership. Members must apply for membership by April 8, 2024, to be eligible to submit paintings. The PSA Annual must be the first significant showing of each artwork; paintings may not have been accepted in any previous major pastel or sponsored exhibition, online exhibition, or published competition before the PSA opening on September 3, 2024. Accepted artwork may not be exhibited concurrently in other shows, including virtual shows.

Artwork must be created in soft pastel with no oil pastels allowed. Mixed media must be predominantly soft pastel, with the artwork's final surface being 80% traditional soft pastel. Work must be original and created from your own reference, not copied from other artists or published materials. Artwork must be initially drawn and not created on top of any photographic image. Classroom, workshop, or online group work is not eligible. There are no size limitations. All subjects and styles, from traditional realism to contemporary abstraction, are eligible. Artwork must have been created in the past four years and must be for sale (no NFS or POR). The artwork sent to the show must be the same piece as the photo submitted.

Entry fee is a flat $50 for 1, 2, or 3 entries and is non-refundable. Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork itself with no visible matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly. The entry deadline is June 3, 2024.
