Providence Art Club National Open Juried Exhibition: America Now

The Providence Art Club invites artists from throughout the United States to submit their recent work for an open juried exhibition titled America, Now. This annual exhibition celebrates the best in contemporary art by makers working in all media from throughout the United States. The exhibition will be juried by Elliot Bostwick Davis, PhD, Chair of the Art of the Americas Department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Founded in 1880, the Providence Art Club is one of the oldest arts organizations in the nation and the first such Club to be co-founded by women and men.

Eligibility is open to artists living and working in the United States. The entry fee is $35 ($25 for PAC Members). Entries must be original artworks completed within the last four years. Submissions should include a minimum of one digital image and a maximum of two digital images. All works in the exhibition must be for sale. Thirteen prizes totaling $5,000 in awards will be given, including a Best in Show Prize of $1,000.

Accepted artists will be notified by email on May 7, 2018, and names will be listed at www.providenceartclub.org after 12pm that day. Accepted work should be delivered to the Providence Art Club, 11 Thomas Street, Providence, RI 02903 between Monday, June 4 – Friday June 21, 2018 (12–4pm weekdays, 2–4pm weekends). The opening reception and awards ceremony is Saturday, June 23, 2018 (4–6pm), and the exhibition closes Friday, July 20, 2018. All exhibited work must be picked up or return shipping arrangements made between August 6–10, 2018. The Providence Art Club carries a blanket insurance policy covering fire, theft, and breakage with a maximum value of $250. Sales commission is 25% for PAC members and 40% for non-members.
