Providence Art Club National Open Juried Exhibition 2026

The Providence Art Club invites artists from across the United States to apply for its annual National Open Juried Exhibition. Founded in 1880, the Providence Art Club is one of the oldest arts organizations in the United States and the first such Club to be co-founded by women and men. Recognized as one of the top three galleries in Rhode Island by the Providence Journal, the Art Club has received coveted Best of Rhode Island Awards for Best Art Gallery in Providence each year since 2019. This exhibition is open to work in any media, theme, or style and will be juried by Leah Triplett, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA).

The exhibition offers fourteen prizes totaling $6,000 in awards, including a Best in Show Prize of $1,000. Entry is open to any artist living and working throughout the United States, its territories, protectorates, and provinces. The entry fee is $35.00, with an additional $10.00 media fee for each artwork beyond the first. Artists may submit 1-2 images.

The application deadline is May 7, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Accepted artists will be notified via email on May 29. Work must be received at the gallery between June 1-17 (Sunday-Friday, 12-4pm). The exhibition runs June 21 – July 16, with an opening reception on Sunday, June 21 from 2-4pm. Galleries are open Sundays – Fridays from 12-4pm. Work removal and shipping arrangement takes place August 3-7 (12-3pm daily). The Club will be closed July 18 – August 2 for summer break. Works must be picked up or shipping arranged by August 7; works left at the Club will be subject to storage fees.
