Proud To Be Seen 2024

Proud To Be Seen is an exhibition inviting artists to interpret the pride of who they are and their community. Artists may consider picturing pride, an examination of what Pride means to them, being seen, a journey to pride, how artists interpret Pride, the eyes of Pride, and self discovery through Pride. Artists are encouraged to create work that is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. All work must be the original creation of the artist.

Up to 50 works of art will be selected for a virtual online exhibition hosted on both the Tubac Center of the Arts and Bruce Baughman Studio & Gallery websites. From those 50, selected artworks will be presented at the Bruce Baughman Studio and Gallery in Tubac, AZ. Selected artists will be responsible for delivery and shipping to and from the gallery. Awards will be selected from the gallery works and presented during the opening reception on Friday, May 24th. The exhibition runs May 24-July 4, 2024.

Entry fee is $35 for the first submission, $3 for each additional submission. Up to 3 works may be entered. Entries must be submitted as digital images in jpg format. All artwork must arrive ready to professionally display or wired to hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted, simply framed, and firmly wired. No sawtooth hangers. All work must be for sale. TCA and Bruce Baughman Studio Gallery will share a 40% commission on sold work; artists will be paid 60% of the sale price. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. Unsold work will be shipped back after the close of the exhibition. Awards: Best of Show $500, Award of Excellence $300, Award of Merit $200, Honorable Mention $75 (two awards). Participating artists must be 18 years or older and reside in the United States.
