Project 88 Open Call: Never was a shade

This exhibition is about trees and their arboreal power emerging not through their environmental virtues, but as existing regardless of whether or people, were in the picture. Rooted but far from passive, trees have cultivated in people an aesthetic sense, or a feel for beauty, attuning people to their own extraordinariness as entities in themselves. That trees by their tree-ishness act upon and enlighten people. They are seeking work charged by these ideas in any of the following categories: moving image, sonic works, and 2D works.
