Progress and Possibilities 2008

Progress and Possibilities 2008 is a competition for polymer clay artists. Work must be at least 1/2 polymer clay, original work by the submitting artist, made between September 1, 2007 and September 1, 2008, and not previously published in print or pending in other contests. Entry fee is $25.00.

Submissions are accepted in three categories: Art Jewelry (wearable art such as necklaces, pendants, bracelets, rings); Functional Objects (items that perform a function such as bowls, vessels, boxes, purses); and Sculptural Objects (decorative items such as dolls, figurines, hollowware, wall art/mosaics). Members of the National Polymer Clay Guild may submit up to 3 entries with 1 image per entry in one, two, or all three categories. Each applicant determines which category to place their submission in based on the category description.

Top 10 finalists in each category will be included in the Progress and Possibilities '08 catalog and a gallery of images will be mounted on the NPCG website. Finalists will be required to submit a high quality image (300dpi, 5x7 jpeg or tiff). Best of Show, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be selected from the chosen finalists.
