About This Call
Crooked Tree Arts Center - Petoskey is accepting submissions for the juried art exhibition Process and Practice: Crafting Wellbeing. Selected artworks may relate to this theme broadly and in many ways. The exhibition will explore relationships between sustained creative practices, experiences with art, and wellbeing.
Artists residing in the Great Lakes Region (Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Ontario) who are at least 18 years old are invited to submit up to 3 original works created in the past two years. Work in any physical media will be considered except for video works and works that rely on AI. Individual works may be comprised of multiples or series. The entry fee is $25.00 per artist ($15.00 for CTAC members, free for Guild Members). The exhibition will run from September 16 through November 1, 2025, in the Bonfield Gallery at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, Michigan. Gallery hours are 10 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. A reception will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 5-7 pm.
Three cash prizes will be awarded: First Place $500, Second Place $300, and Third Place $200. The exhibition will be juried by Dr. Elizabeth Fergus-Jean, MFA, Ph.D., a nationally recognized transdisciplinary artist and educator. Submission deadline is August 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be sent August 12, 2025. Delivery of accepted works is required between September 2-6, 2025. Artists are responsible for transporting work to and from the gallery. Unsold artwork must be picked up between November 4-8, 2025, or it becomes property of Crooked Tree Arts Center.
