Printmaking NOW!

Umpqua Valley Arts Association presents Printmaking NOW!, a juried exhibition exploring ideas and various modes of contemporary printmaking. This open call invites artists to submit work using printmaking as a media. Artists may submit up to 3 entries in all themes and printmaking processes. Work must be an edition and display-ready upon arrival. Artwork must have been completed within the last two years and must not have been previously exhibited at UVAA. All entries must be original works of art entirely created by the entrant and in compliance with copyright regulations.

Submission Deadline: March 10, 2017. Email notification of acceptance will be sent Friday, March 31, 2017. Exhibit dates: May 5 – June 25, 2017. Opening reception: Friday, May 5th, 5pm to 7pm. Art delivery to UVAA: Monday, May 1, 2017. Artwork pickup/shipping: Monday and Tuesday, July 3 & 5, 2017, 9am to 4pm.

Entry Fee: $30 for non-members and $20 for UVAA members (non-refundable). Cash Awards: $300 1st Place, $200 2nd Place, $100 3rd Place. Juror: Charlene Liu, Associate Professor and Printmaking Coordinator in the Department of Art at the University of Oregon. All entries must be submitted as digital JPEG files through the CaFE website. Entries and awards will be judged by the juror from digital files. All entries must be for sale. Artwork must fit through a standard 3-foot wide door and weigh less than 50 lbs. UVAA commission rates are 30% for UVAA members and 40% for non-members.
