About This Call
The Brinton Museum, founded in 1960, is a fine arts institution devoted to preserving the art and history of the West. Located on the historic Quarter Circle A Ranch in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains, the museum features 19th, 20th and 21st century American and Indian Art in a historic Western setting.
"Printmaking in the Rockies and on the Great Plains" is a 2nd Juried Invitational exhibition running October 21 to December 23, 2023. The exhibition seeks original work featuring traditional hand-pulled printmaking techniques of relief, intaglio, lithography and serigraphy. No reproductions or photomechanical prints are accepted. Maximum dimensions cannot exceed 40"x40". The exhibition is open to all artists living in Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
Entry fee is $40 for up to four submissions. Deadline is June 1, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury date is July 28, 2023. Awards include: Ludmila Dranchak Best of Show ($1,500), 1st Place ($1,000), 2nd Place ($500), 3rd Place ($250), and $5,000 available for Brinton Museum Purchase Awards. Juror is Master Printmaker Jim Jereb from Laramie, Wyoming.
