Printmaking Currents 2007

Printmaking Currents 2007 is a national juried exhibition open to all non-student artists residing in the United States and working in two-dimensional printmaking mediums using experimental or classic techniques. The exhibition will be held November 1–30, 2007 at Pacific Northwest College of Arts in Portland, Oregon. Approximately 80 prints will be accepted, and an artist opening reception will be held.

Eligibility requirements: All works must be original, available for sale, and produced within the last two years. Works may not be larger than 30"x 40". Accepted work must be framed under plexiglas and ready for hanging. Work must be shipped in a reusable shipping container; non-standard display is not allowed. Submissions must include 1–3 entries with completed entry form, artist resume, and artist statement. Entry fee is $30 for non-members and $25.50 for Print Arts Northwest members. The entry fee does not cover shipping; artists are responsible for prepaid return shipping following the show.

Jurors are Brian Shannon and Regina Held. All accepted artists will have their print photographed and included in a color exhibition catalog, with each selected artist receiving a complimentary copy. Through a special gift, the Portland Art Museum will award one or more Purchase Prizes up to $1000, with selected work(s) added to the Museum's permanent collection. Selected artists will also receive twenty exhibition announcement cards and a one-year membership to Print Arts Northwest. All sales are subject to a 30% commission. Notification of acceptance is September 15, 2007, with contracts due October 1, 2007. Accepted work must arrive by October 15, 2007.
