About This Call
Prospect House, a social resource for the Princeton University community, is undergoing renovations and will feature a visual arts installation expected to be unveiled in August 2024. Submissions of works of art are sought that embrace one or more of the following themes: Past meets present, Origins and legacies (tradition and innovation), Belonging, Community, Welcome, and Gathering.
Two- or three-dimensional works will be considered, although flat work in all media is preferred. Three-dimensional work must not require a vitrine, and no outdoor sculpture will be considered. All University students (both undergraduate and graduate), alumni, faculty, and current staff are invited to submit works of art for consideration. Works may be offered either as loans (for a preferred renewable loan period of two years) or as gifts. Two-dimensional works should preferably come unframed so that framing can be done consistently.
Submissions must include 1-10 images. The deadline for receipt of submissions is April 28, 2024. If your work is selected, the University will need to take physical possession of all selected works in June 2024. Jurying will take place during May 2024; selected artists will be notified no later than June 1, 2024.
