Preserving the Culture of Livingston Parish

The Arts Council of Livingston Parish invites current and former residents of Livingston Parish, Louisiana to submit art for exhibition and possible publication in a coffee-table styled book entitled "Preserving the Culture of Livingston Parish." Juried multimedia art inspired by life in Livingston Parish will be considered, including Fiber Art, Paintings, Photography, Pottery, Sculptures, and Woodwork. Original traditional and contemporary works are welcome. Each artist whose work is selected will receive a book.

Eligibility: Artists must be current or former residents of Livingston Parish, Louisiana, and artwork must be the artist's original design. Artists may submit up to 3 entries. Digital image submissions must be in JPEG format, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi, with a maximum file size of 5 MB. Accepted submissions must be provided as large 300 DPI TIFF files. Artists are responsible for delivery of accepted artwork to the gallery for the exhibition.

Selected artwork will be exhibited at the Arts Council of Livingston Parish gallery at 133 Hummell Street, Denham Springs, LA 70726 from November 1, 2019 through December 29, 2019. Artwork may be for sale, with the Arts Council keeping 20% of sale prices. Entry fees: Members $15 for first entry, $10 for second and third entries; Non-members $20 for first entry, $15 for second and third entries. Additional media fee of $15 for extra images. Notification date: January 7, 2019.
